Many charities and charitiable causes really do need our help. This will become more important in the UK over the next few years as the government cuts back on expenditure! At Carlton we strongly believe that apart from being good fun, fundraising is an ideal way to introduce children to the idea of helping those who are less fortunate than themselves. The staff, children and parents regularly raise money for good causes.
We raised £245.25 for The Children's Heart Surgery Fund and we were stunned at the number of toys donated to Martin House Hospice. Thank you so much for your generosity.
Below are just some of the toys donated by our wonderful families! Thank you!
The C.E.O of Give a Gift, Mr Hanif Malik came to Carlton to collect the cheque on behalf of the charity and told our children how amazed he was by their generosity. Our Governor MP Paula Sherriff also spoke to our children and told them how proud she was of them. The children have really empathised with the plight of children less fortunate than themselves and we would like to say a huge thank you to each and every one of them for their thoughfulness and kindness.
School Council were incredibly excited and proud to deliver the toys to Martin House Hospice themselves!
