World Book Day 2014

Children and staffed had fun dressing up as their favourite book character! The children brought in their favourite book to share with their teachers and friends. All the children took part in book based activities.

The fun did not stop there though . . . on Friday March 7th our School hall was turned into a Jungle and everyone enjoyed a production of Rudyard Kipling's 'The Jungle Book.'

Thank you for the time and effort  everyone made into making this a great day.

World Book Day 2013

All the children at Carlton have had a fantastic World Book Day! We came into school to find our teachers dressed up in their favourite book characters! In the morning a local theatre company treated us to a wonderful production of The Hobbit. The teachers and support staff in the school gave readings of their favourite books and we got to choose which one we wanted to go and listen to; we were spoilt for choice! Children across school also took part in a book review competition! Take a look at some of the fantastic costumes worn by pupils and staff and highlights from The Hobbit in the video and photos below.
